My name is Sarah Stanford and I have worked in education for 12 years in both public and private schools. I am a licensed educator with an endorsement in special education and I hold a Master's Degree in Special Education and Educational Leadership. I have taught in the classroom in grades k-5, worked in special education, and as a learning specialist. I have been working privately as a consultant and academic coach for 8 years. 

With students, I use a coaching model that activates potential, promotes self-drive, and builds skills for long-term success. This involves asking specific questions that promote thinking and problem-solving as well as intervening and advising when necessary. 

With parents, I focus on frequent communication and collaboration to support the family system and the student’s growth. I share my expertise and resources with parents so they can further their understanding of the education experience and equip themselves with the tools they need to navigate the system and support their child.
